Black Umbrella

I recently had the pleasure of doing some animation for the FOX sci-fi drama, Fringe.
It was a lot of fun to work on this Terry Gilliam-esque LSD trip.

The Secret Society of Hot Tub Gentlemen

I was cleaning off my desktop and I found some animation from an unfinished 24 hour film Cheyenne and I attempted a little over a year ago.

It was a 1 minute film about two "gentlemen" hot tubbers.
It was definitely a little ambitious for a 24 hour film, but we still got a lot of really fun and expressive drawings and animation out of it. It also gave us a chance to collaborate and experiment.
At the end of the day, I guess that's the point...whether it was completed or not. *hangs head in shame*
I figured it was about time to post some of the work we did together.

Chey and I designed the characters together. "Snoots" is the orange guy and "Sleaze" is the green dude.
I feel like they're a great balance of our styles. I can definitely see elements of us both in each character.

I boarded it, Cheyenne painted the beautiful BGs,
and we both did character layout and animation.

I can't take any credit for the image above. Cheyenne did this hilarious shot.
Always love working with her.

There was no dialogue in the film. It was all set to this Jackie Davis song.
Sexy, right?

GIRLS: Fact or Fiction

Above is a teaser for my contribution to Light Grey Art Lab's Girls: Fact or Fiction gallery show.
The show features 100+ artists paying tribute to both real and fictitious women.
The most exciting part about this show is that they will be publishing a reversible book that will feature the real women on one side and the fictitious women on the other.

I contributed a piece based on Maude Lebowski.

The book is for sale HERE for $25 and will begin shipping in December.
It looks incredible and you should definitely grab a copy for the holidays.

The projects curated by Light Grey Art Lab really are incredible. The level of professionalism and care that goes behind their event organization is better than any indie gallery I've seen before.
I'm extremely proud to be a part of this project and I'll be sharing the pages of the book with a ton of talented artists such as: Cheyenne Curtis, Scott Forbes, and Nichole Ter Horst

Cheyenne Sunshine and the Daytime Players

Check out this collab that Cheyenne and I did a while back.
It started as an inside joke about her singing in a band of decrepit animatronic animals, and blossomed into this magical piece.
I did the chicken and the elephant and she did Cheyenne Sunshine, the rat and the cat.
Since I've known Cheyenne, she has inspired me to no end. I can't tell you how much fun it is to get the creative juices flowing with her. If you don't already know of her incredible work. go look.
You will be charmed.

Below is another collaborative effort from a while back.
It was a design done by Chey, that I felt compelled to animate.
There's so much personality and honesty in her work that I cannot resist.

Why Obama Now

In light of the election, I figured I'd post this short film I did some animation for.
It was directed by the talented Simpsons / Family Guy storyboard artist, Lucas Gray, who approached a few of us from Six Point Harness and Jib Jab to help bring his vision to life. I really admired Lucas' passion for this project, as it was a personal endeavor. This sort of thing definitely makes politics accessible to a wide range of people. I may not have been able to vote (Since I'm a dirty Canadian) but I'm proud to have contributed in another way.

Mr. President, I'll be expecting my green card in the mail.

King of Cartoons

Tremble before the King of Cartoons.

In One Piece.

Cheyenne recently did a funny comic about body image and American Apparel.
It inspired me to put myself into the American Apparel add campaign.

You Got Travolta-ed

All this controversy around Travolta wanting a little man on man massage inspired me to revisit the foot massage conversation from Pulp Fiction.
No one is safe.

Death Drive

I've been obsessed with these two movies lately...Then I realized they're both about psychotic stuntmen.
Definitely an entertaining archetype.
As a tribute, I put together a little gif. of Stuntman Mike and The Driver taking a break from murder.
Below is a higher res still.
*UPDATE* I've had some interest in prints of this piece. If you'd like one too feel free to contact me at
