Cloudy 2: Earl Scouts

Here's the second Cloudy 2 short I had the pleasure of working on.
Once again I did a bunch of character layout and animation for it.
This was actually the last one we worked on. Throughout the entire production of these shorts I couldn't wait to get my hands on Earl. I did a lot of the stuff in the beginning and at the very end of him screaming and flipping around. A really fun character to animate. At first I was bummed when I heard Terry Crews took over for Mr. T. But after working with his performance, I have to say that Terry Cruise ended up doing a much better job with the character. There's nothing better than getting some fun, energetic voice acting to animate with.

Cloudy 2: Super Manny

Check out this short I worked on for Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2.
It's the first in a series of 4 shorts that I did some character layout and animation for.
I had the pleasure of working on these with a ton of talented people. Keep your eyes open for the rest. They'll also be on the DVD / Blu Ray release of the movie.

In case you didn’t see Pacific Rim, here’s what you missed.
my tribute to the best movie of the summer.

Here are some unused ultra-80s character designs I did.
I was going for a Patrick Nagel / Bruce Timm / Jem and the Holograms sort of thing.
I don't usually draw in this style so it was fun to experiment with something new.

Metlife - Everyone

I don't know why I never posted this, but here's a metlife commercial we worked on at 6PH for the 2012 Superbowl. It was a pretty quick project but a fun opportunity to animate some iconic characters. Who better to buy life insurance from than cartoon characters....anvil coverage is extra though.....also I'm surprised Fat Albert was able to get coverage.

Another gif. This time it's a Batman dance party.

Go to GIFSOUND and mash it up with your favorite tune.

Here it is thrown together with the song that inspired me to do it in the first place.
Batman is the sonsy girl.

Sparkle Sparkle

I actually really enjoyed Dredd. It was a simple action movie with some fantastic visuals. It definitely gave me the vibe of an 80s action flick.
Plus. Lots of sparkles.
